Hello fellow Okies! How is everyone doing?  We lost power yesterday at about 6:30am and got it back today about 12:00noon.  I have never been so glad to be able to turn on a light in my life!!!  Hope everyone is keeping warm and doing OK.  Let us know! Michelle

Hey there, Wish I could say that, we lost power for the second time on Sunday night about 9 pm, went to hotel on Monday afternoon and have been here ever since.  We checked back on our house just a little while ago, our poor neighborhood looks so bad with all the gorgeous old trees split, but thankfully not a one has landed on anyone's home.  God is good.  Take care everyone! Well our power went out Monday morning, while we were watching the trees crash all over the neighborhood.  It had been going off momentarily since sunday, but this time it didn't come back on.  I finally got everyone to agree to go to my daughter's house.  We had only been here a few hours when a big branch hit the roof of the house and a branch came into her ceiling in the bed room.  Luckily it wasn't very big, but it is leaking slightly even with temporary fixes.   I have been trying to work via laptop and cell phone.  I went and drove some of our properties today (lawn care company) and it is really sad.  Our guys are going to be doing cleanup for weeks.   Other than that, all is well on the homefront.  I have been eating myself silly though, probably due to the stress.  But I think I might be back on the right track now. I hope everyone else is at least warm and well.  Hang in there okies! Ruth

Well Tulsa is a major disaster, worse I have ever seen in my life here power outage wise.  Somehow God has really been looking out for me, my electric never went off, woo hoo.   My neighbor came and knocked on my door saying I had best move my truck.  Less than an hour later a huge tree limb feel right where my truck had been sitting.  My best friend is staying over this week since a limb fell on his house and snapped the power lines.  We are fixing to go and raid his fridge of food and bring it back over here so it don't spoil.

Today my husband and I went to my Physical Assessment in Norman. I know how everyone feels there and I'm so sorry about all the pretty old trees. We had the same thing about 6 yrs. ago. We were without electric for 9 days. I thought I would go crazy. LOL We had water, a small propane heater and Coleman stove. Please know that you are in our thoughts. I just thought of something funny. If your getting this you probably have electricity. One wee****il lapband. I did well on blood pressure, spirometer, etc. Ramona

Finally back in action here.  My inlaws brought a generator to us - about 4 hours later we had 'real' power.  So, the generator did the trick.  For those of you still without power - my prayers are with you - stay warm! Now I think I've got strep throat though...yuck! Tonja
