Monday, Oct 8 - OKC get-together

I usually chew my chips. Sorry, I just had to say that!  I'm not much on salsa anymore because the tomatoes give me mouth sores and I don't want that! T

My salsa consumption has been severely curtailed since banding.  But nachos are sounding good-so I'm going to go ahead and cast a vote for On the Border. One unusual thing I found I cannot eat at all is green tomatoes.  Not something I have often, but it aint gonna happen at all now.  That has very little do with where we eat-just sharing a random thought. I'd be happy to split some nachos with someone and maybe have a bowl of tortilla soup to help pave the way so to speak.

Hey Cathy i live in the city on Nw 42nd and not to far from that area. I would love to meet all you ladies. I had surgery 4 years ago. Had a son 16 months ago, went on the depo shot put on 41 pounds in 3 months went off of it and started gaining weight come to find out my opening is enlarged and i dont have insurance that will correct it. I recently had explortory (sp) surgery Aug 31st and have lost some weight having a hard time healing  but would love to have some friends and some support So do let me know were would be a good place. I vote Starbucks

Marsha, Of course we would love to have you join us!  We're open to all WLS types and dates, so please come. Also, Tonja is the support group leader of a group that meets at Integris Baptist twice a month (once on Saturday mornings,  once on Tuesday nights).  That, too, would be a great source of support for you. I'll keep watching the thread to find out where we are meeting.  I'm headed out tomorrow for my fill but I'll log in from sunny Houston. This time I will be taking soup with me-the liquid phase of the fill is tough without something that isn't sweet!

Oh, does anyone object if I bring a camera?  I will not take your picture if you don't want me to.  But I'd like someone to take a picture of me-I can't post my before pic till I get an after/during and my parents can't work my camera....LOL.

Bring it.  I'm sure someone is a bit savvy. Cathy
