WOW!!!! I do not see how you did it for so long! Maybe if this stuff tasted better I could handle it! It doesn't taste horrible but its got an after taste that lingers....and lingers... But if you did it for that long I know I can do it for the length of time I am....Just gotta be creative... I figure this...when I call for my consult in September and I am able to get a surgery date with 30 days of that I will have to stay on this till then. I am 99% sure I will hate milk chocolate by then. I got 2 gallons of protein powder for $52.00 and its milk chocolate.....Somebody kick me!!!!

I know what you mean...when I started my 2 week liquid pre-op I got all strawberry optifast (the doc was giving it for free because of the expiration date)  I figured I can handle strawberry everyday ... (what a dumbass I was...I never liked strawberry anything...lol) It really wasnt too bad but I decided to buy some bars and soup so that I could have some thing different to eat...  Now I have to go back and get some more because I they rescheduled my surgery (my fault) and now I will have to do the two weeks all over again...  This time though I am actually buying the other flavored proteins.... Good luck...you can do it....you can do it....

Hi,

I graduated from Optifast once and New Frontiers twice.  Counting the diets plus the re-feeding I was on fasting liquid diets for just shy of two years.

Try Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy navel  & Roadside lemonade protein supplements.  These are fruit flavored and you don’t have to mix them with milk.  They have 23 g of protein and are fat & carbohydrate free.  I order them on the Internet at vitacost.com or luckyvitamin.com.  But you can just do a search if you prefer.  I like the fuzzy navel flavor (peach & orange).

Yep ladies-chocolate gets old.  Vanilla can be flavored with other flavors (using crystal light, etc) so that it doesn't taste the same. Can you ladies do broth at all?  Swanson's beef or veggie broth in the carton is pretty good-after a few days of shakes you are ready to KILL for something salty.  It doesn't have many calories, but it will hit the need for something other than sweet, milky.  You can also put in a little garlic powder and maybe some chili powder for flavor if you like spicey a shot of louisiana hot sauce. Don't do this before a weigh in, because even the carton broth has a lot of sodium.

Its not on my list  I got all milk chocolate, But I got this one fixed....I added fat free sugar free carmel sauce to it this morning... Since my b/f is a diabteic we have all kinds of syrups that are sugar free and some fat free. I figure why not...And since I order gevalia coffee I ordered some of there decaffinated coffee to mix with the shakes. Chocolate will not get the best of me! I am planning on going to get some vanilla next wee****il then its milk chocolate.....   Wonder how hot sauce would taste with chocolate?   Never mind that idea! It would probably be awful... think I will try it what the heck

Cinnamon is good with chocolate.  Cinnamon plus coffee plus chocolate.....YUM.   You can do this.  When you are sick of sweet try some unsweetened tea-that also cuts the "sweet taste;'
