Just to clear up some confusion we have going on...Don Babiarz (Father Don) and Kimberly St. Denis are working as a team on the Long Island Fashion Show. They both can receive your photos and short blurb about yourself. Don has acquired designer clothing for you to wear if you wish to send in your measurements that he posted about, but otherwise you bring your own outfit for the catwalk and photos!

It’s easy to recognize a perfect goal support team candidate. Just look for someone who has a way of making everyone else around them better. Someone who wins by building others and letting them in on the fun. Someone who is genuinely happy when other people succeed. That’s the person you want on your side. The pages of history are heavy with tales of the misguided who were proven wrong while insisting something couldn’t be done. Why put up with that? Believe in your goals enough to know that you shouldn’t stomach people who don’t. It’s okay if you’re the only one who believes in your dream. Thanks for your post, I may be able to help you with part of your issue.
I will pass the word around as about 100 of my support group members are attending and someone may want to split the cost of the room with you. Also, I do have some virtual members who live all over the place, I'll pm some who may be near you and let you know!

From where you are, it's 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic.
Basically, it's right near McArthur Airport. (5-10 miles away) - about the middle of Long Island.

Topic: Looking for ride and roommate to OH conference in Long Island
I am seriously considering going to the OH conference in Long Island this October. The only problem is in order for me to go, I would need to find not only a roommate but a ride. I cant' afford the hotel room by myself and driving all the way to Long Island is too much for me. I only drive short distances. I am not even sure how far it is to Haupaugge but I know with traffic, it can't be close.
Anyone interested, please let me know. I went to the one in Rye a couple of years ago and had a really nice time. I would love to go again.

Topic: Support Group - Suffern Area - Rockland County
I am almost 3 years post op and would really love to go to a support group meeting now and then. Ideally I would love it to be during the day since I dont' work but I dont' know if any of these exist.
Does anyone know of any support groups in the Suffern area and if so, are any of them during the day? My surgeon has them but they are in NYC and that is too far for me to drive at night plus I wouldnt drive in NYC at night by myself anyway.
