Mikey, while you are completing the 6 month diet requirement you can be taking care of the other tests that your surgeon will more than likely require and getting those appointments worked out can take time. He will more than likely want a sonogram of your gallbladder, if you still have one, and endoscopy, sleep apnea study, bloodwork to check your thyroid and other stuff, stress test and a pulmonary test. Getting all this stuff coordinated can take time and it sounds like you only have 2 months of the diet documentation to complete. Just remember we are all here to talk to and support you. Good luck!!! Joanne

Thank you guys so much!! I just remembered that last year (through my employer-a hospital) I had my weight documented for 7 months ( I was on a diet program through the employee health services clinic) The person who supervised me was a RN... I hope this is sufficient. Loving you guys already!

Don't be disappointed, but that might not be good enough because it was a yeat ago, but it's definitely worth a try. Call the insurance company and ask. Again, the other tests you need to get done can still take some time, so keep up with supervised diet you're on right now. Joanne

Mikey, Its a process. Just read some of the Profiles of our friends who have had the Surgery already and try to use this as your Motivation. It gets hard sometimes but nothing worth having comes easy. I to have been through some trying times lately and have vented on this board and you could not believe the Love and Support this Website can provide. If I can help you in any way please let me know Louis
