Wow - I am sorry to hear about the scheduling problems.  I would consider trying another surgeons.  The great thing about living in NY is that there is no shortage of good bariatric surgeons.  The surgery has had such a positive impact on my life that I believe the wait will be worth it.  Hang in there!

Take care,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience but at least you didn't get started and have to turn back around.  But there are a lot of surgeons in NY that won't give you the runaround.  I would try again if I were you.  When I was going through the process, I got all started all started and then had an insurance snafu so i do understand your frustration.  I would recommend my doctor but he is in Queens. Good luck in whatever you choose, Sue

Yikes! Sorry to hear about what happened. This journey is filled with many "pot holes" as I refer to them, but in the end it is worth it! I agree with the others, find another surgeon and continue the journey. It will be worth it in the end- hang in there- and keep your chin up Vicki
