Anyone have Dr. Christine Ren or Dr. George Fielding?
I'm getting banded in Mexico by Dr. Rumbaut on the 17th and will go to Dr. Fielding for my fills. He does have an outstanding reputation and is known for being aggressive about the fills, which is what I want. Apparently drs. in the U.S. do the fills bit by bit until they reach the "sweet spot", unlike drs. in Mexico who try to reach it quickly. I understand Dr. Fielding likes that approach as well.
I had the info session with Dr. Kurian and was impressed. I followed up with the office to ask them what surgeons in Mexico they feel comfortable following up with, meaning who they would recommend. I had to call twice to get an answer, but they were very lovely and forthcoming. I like the fact that they will follow up on other doctors' bandings.
Of course this is all a big, REALLY BIG business, but the NYU operation seems very professional and you might as well go to the most well-oiled machine around.
Good luck.
