My "Drapes" Are Disappearing.

I know that there is not much that you can do with the loose skin, but.....................................I SWEAR that the draped skin on my inner thighs is improving DRAMATICALLY.. I can only attribute it to all of the walking and I have been faithfully doing since March 19th. I can't believe it it and it's not in my head either. My daughter (tenderly) tee hee commented yesterday. Hey - I'll take whatever improvement I can. I'm no spring chicken here. My pupster's thighs are looking swell too. How shallow am I to say this with all of the crazy, tragic things that go on  worldwide????  I'm worried about thighs? I try very hard to not become so self absorbed with the new weight loss and physical changes, but with such a life altering journey, it's difficult not to. So I take a moment out with these little milestones and just say a prayer of thanks that I am this fortunate right now. I hope that you get the drift of what I am trying to say. Take Care~~ Diane

I do get your drift, Diane. but you've worked so hard to get where you're at that you deserve this victoryl

The better we feel about ourselves, the better able we are to try & make a difference in the rest of the world.

I am NOT patting myself on the back...last time I was in my doc's office, my husband accompanied me...bad idea 'cause he wasn't feeling well. He just couldn't wait to get out of there, although he was, thankfully, nice and supportive. When we reached the lobby, a man with two crutches and a badly deformed leg could barely walk & had just missed the elevator. At that moment, I knew my husband was in a rush (he was already outside so didn't see the gentleman,) but I couldn't imagine not helping him. I wasn't a hero, all I did was get him an elevator & hold it for him. When my hubby said "that was really nice," I said, "you would have done it too, who wouldn't?" But several people did let the elevator close on him. My point of all this is that you can be happy about your thighs and still make a difference in this world, no matter how big or small. I hope this makes sense.

By the way, how much are you walking now. And if you work, when do you walk?

take care,

What's wrong with my posts? I didn't hit quote this time, I'm sure...anyway, what I neglected to say is that your taking the time to express your gratitute shows you to the be the careing person you are. Something I get so self-absorbed that I have to make a real effort to be cognizent of those around me and their problems and concerns, instead of looking in the mirror and saying "does my face look thinner today?"

bye again,
