I keep dry heaving and gaggining.Water, diet ice-tea, watered down regular iced tea, crystal ligh****ered down apple juice, PTROTEIN SUPPLEMENT; all of it makes me have to throw up. I can't keep most of it down, and if I am I'm constantly dry heaving threatening to throw it back up. I'm starting to get pains in my abdomen and even in my chest. *sigh* its frustrating. Walking for awhile leaves me with shortness of breath and...I just want to feel normal again. Seeing the surgeon tomorrow and my pcp on Thursday, but I don't see how its going to get better. I just feel so sick and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I feel like I'm at the end of my tether. Please has anyone experience this or know what to do?

I had a friend with similar situations, 3x...her doc had to stretch something out.  The "pipe" was tooi narrow for even her own saliva.  I'm glad you're seeing the surgeon tomorrow!!!!!!!!!  Hope it gets better soon, sweetie! Muah

Hi Cheri I read that your friend had to have something stretched. I have been sick since my surgery 7 weeks I get pains and or vomit on everything I try to eat.  What was wrong with your friend and was it fixed? How  did they stretch her? Did she have to be put to s;eep and was there a hospital stay needed? Thanks I could use all the info you can give me. Jilly

Morning Jilly,

I will see if I can track her down today.  I only remember that she said she vomited even on her own "spit" and had to be "stretched".  She is probably going to be at work a block from my house today, I will find her and clarify it.  It sounded like her esophagus needed to be stretched in order to get food or liquids in.  I will add you as a friend and let you know!  I would definitely contact your doc immediately regardless of what it might be!

Can you say "E.R." ??? Not sure how and why you are waiting to see your surgeon. Symptoms like yours require running -  not walking -  to the Emergency Room. I'm not trying to rude or non-sympathetic but I think that a few people told you in your last post to get to the Hospital ASAP.  Waiting for your surgeon/PCP could be putting your life at risk. I wish you the best but don't wait any longer. -Karen

Well I spoke to my surgeon and he didn't think the ER was necessary, just seeing him. Anyway my appointment is only 3 hours away now so I don't think it makes much difference.

Exactly what everyone says, go to the ER.  You need to be rehydrated.  It really sounds like a stricture.  I had that.  I couldn't keep anything down and even then I was dry heaving and throwing up.  I was hospitalized and then they did an endoscopy on me and it fixed the problem.  You can't fool around with this.  Please go to the ER ASAP. Sue

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is. - Ellen DeGeneres
