BAD DAY AT WORK NOSY COWORKERS!!!!!!
You know, Lori. that was so uncalled for. Some people have absolutely no class.
Instead of being on the defensive, I would put it all back on her. In a private moment, I would just nicely tell her that you were surprised that she would ever bring up the subject in front of others at break. Tell her you were a little taken aback by it but if she had any questions you would be happy to answer them in a more appropriate place. Tell her that you would appreciate her being a little more discreet and then just SMILE. This way it will show that you are not frazzled and it puts her in a situation where she has to defend her actions.
When the other shifts see you and compliment you, just accept it graciously and say ,"Jeesh, I'm sooo tired of talking about it. (Smile) Let's talk about something else. Hey, Sue - how did your daughter's graduation go?"
Take Care~~
Diane

Thanks Diane
I walked in the next day feeling great my scrubs really showed my weight loss and I soaked in all the positive comments . I walked past her with my head held high . I am not gonna let her get to me I feel soooooo good right now I'm not gonna let that sob ruin for me. By the way it was great meeting you , you look beautiful congrats!!!!!!

I would have held my hand up like a stop sign and said what makes you think it's ok to say this when I haven't given you permission to announce my business, i've done my homework and i'm prepared to cope with whatever comes my way! I'm not sure if HIPAA applies for this Ignore Ignore Ignore the batch of idiots. ANDI
OOOH, that makes me so mad. Want me to go beat her up for you? (as soon as I can get out of bed, that is)
Reminds me of when I was in the hosp & the nurse said in front of my roommate, her mother, and the entire floor in a LOUD voice, OH, WHY DO YOU TAKE ____(Medication?), as if it said Heroin on my chart. And if it did, the whole world didn't have to know.
There are serious privacy issues at hand for you; even if you don't address it formally, IMHO, it's better to address it so it doesn't eat away at you. DON'T LET HER RENT SPACE IN YOUR BRAIN. SHE DOESN'T DESERVE IT. Just wait till you're in your bikini & she's in her mumu!
