If the applesauce doesn't work try yogurt. My mom did it that way and while it still didn't taste great, I was able to stomach it till they let me swallow them normally with water.

I don't have to crush my pills either. I take them whole. Nothing is large. I take a chewable vitamin, but all my other vitamins or meds I take throughout the day. Make sure to ask your Dr. about it.
