i'M HOME!!!
Hi everyone, I am finally home and back. I "breezed" through surgery and came home on Friday afternoon. I am feeling a little tired and drained but my spirits are good. I am getting used to my new pouch and the sensations of drinking and over sipping, It doesn't take much. I am getting bored of my liquid diet already and taking my meds crushed in something - all I have to say is BLECH
. I am really trying to rest as much as possible and walk. I know walking is everything. My belly is sore and I haven't been sleeping well, so I am tired. I can't seem to get comfortable at night to stay sleeping.
I never knew what head hunger was until recently. I am struggling with that the most right now. But as time goes on I feel I am getting a better hang on it. I just need to find things to fill my time.
Anyhow I just thought I would let you all know that I am back and I lost 22lbs so far! I go to the drs this week for a follow up so will know my official loss then.
I wanted to thank all of you also for your support you are all great!!!!

Jen,
Hi,
I'm glad your surgery went well and your home safely. Did you have open Rny? I was just curious why you spent three nights in the hospital. How bad was the pain? does it hurt to sit to go to the bathroom and bend down to whipe? Theese are the things that scare me the the most about my upcomming surgery. how do you know when you had to much to drink?
Sheila
Sheila,
YOu will do fine. Relax. I had an open RNY and it did kind of hurt at first to sit and to wipe
. It feels as if though you have done way too many sit ups. You have to learn how to use your legs to sit and climb stairs. It's not that bad and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
As far as knowing when you had too much to drink you feel a slight uncomfortableness. Kind of when you overeat and feel uncomfortable, and there is a slight pain in the upper part of your chest. You'll know, your body will let you know.
Hang in there, it can be nerve racking those few weeks before but you will do just fine.
