Well, I have finally started telling a few people I had the surgery. I only told a couple family members and friends before I had the surgery. Now, I am telling select friends and co-workers. Everyone has been so supportive. I almost wish I had told them before for the support, but things all worked out anyway. Thanks to everyone on this board too!! You guys have been my support before, during and after!!

Congrats on letting your secrete out. Its such a personal decision to let people know. For me right from the begining I was shouting it to the world. My personal feelings about it is that it saved my life and improved my quality of life and I just want everyone to know lol.....If i am in a rush however i dont tell because then I have to do alot of explaining ...lol...But good for you that you decided to tell and are getting positive feedback. You are just as much of a support to us as you feel we are to you. So thank you right back! LisaMarie

Thats AWESOME Betsy ... I only told close family and friends in the begining - now 85.5 pounds lighter friends / people are asking how did you do it??? Now, I don't mind sharing how I did at all. But like LisaMarie ... sometimes if I am in a rush and people say wow you look greeat - I simply say THANKS! If they ask how I did it when i'm in a rush i'll say lots of hard work. It is a PERSONAL decision either way. you are doing fantastic! hugs, Britt

I'm very proud of you!

For me, I'm a blabber mouth! I told everyone and continue to tell everyone! A gal from another county was at a training with me this week. She was watching my eating habits and mentioned something to me about it. She had RNY in January and lost 90 lbs so far!

I want everyone to know, because there might be one person who I can assist past the point of fear. I have heard many people say they are afraid to even look into it because it's surgery. I would go right now and have surgery again!

Betsy, I'm so happy for you. And look at all the weight you have lost already. I'm so excited to get started myself. Keep up the good work. By the way I moved to Oakfield recently so when I can walk again maybe we can get together.
