well....my mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. i think it is each person's experience and I did not have a good one. and I heard the doctor that did my surgery has left the clinic....so I have no idea what to do at this point. I haven't heard anything from the office telling me that. call and see you may have a better experience.

Hi and welcome!
I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Synergy. I have met many people form Synergy who have had surgery and you are the first that I heard of that had a bad experience with them. Like you said everyone is different. My friend had Lap with Dr Panamanglore too. She is doing great! No problems what so ever. I too was suppose to go with Dr P. had my consult and then they called me and said he was leaving to open his own practice. The only thing is he don't know where or when. So now I am having it done Open with Dr Caruana. Which I actually feel more comfortable with. I have learned Dr P has only did like 80 of these sugeries , as to where Dr Caruana has done over 2500 of them and received many accomidations and has mastered the RNY.
The only reason I wanted it done Lap was the recovery time, and the pain of healing. I am going to suck it up and deal with the xtra pain and the longer recovery time. I really like Synergy, the support groups are so informative and fun.
As for your follow up appts, Dr P's patients are know seeing Dr Caruana or the nurse practioiner. My friend said it was her choice as to who she wants to see.
Oh and yes.....I am from Buffalo. I also have a desk job and hope to be back at work within 3 weeks.

Thanks for telling me...u know more than I do. I am 7 months out today and the last time I was there Dr. P asked me what was I doing there!! R u serious??!! Ummm I have been having complications and I took it upon myself to come see you for follow up that I was to have months ago and you wanna ask me "what am I doing here??" As you can tell I am a little perturbed and bitter by the whole situation. But I pray that it gets better with the synergy staff especially in my case. I was one of Dr. P's first patients when he came to synergy. I received my surgery date within 2 weeks of meeting him. I can tell you some stories. Anyway, keep in touch let me know about your progress.
