Okay...Someone mentioned Pizza the day before my surgery last week...and I have been having mental cravings ever since....I can actually see the slices of pizza dancing in front of my very eyes....all that melted mozzarella...and the piping hot red sauce.Mmmmmmmmm...ANYWAY.....Next week I am allowed one soft meal....I was wondering if this is a possibility: mozzarella cheese dipped in low sugar tomatoe sauce????  I think that would soothe the mental craving and stop those slices from dancing around in my head!!!  Whatcha think????  Possible????

I had lapband one month ago.  My doc would definitely not permit me to have pizza with his blessings.  Today I had some ground turkey for the first time.  Now that's living on the edge!

I was at a PASTA bar...since I didn't dare eat Pasta, I found the ground turkey on the menu.  They did it on the grill.  I loved it!  I actually dipped it in bleu cheese that I tossed jalepeno sauce in.  It was really delish!  I'll be going to Wally Mart to get some turkey burger patties today!

Hiya Jane,
My friend had RNY about 6 weeks ago. She has the pizza cravings too sometimes, She takes a low fat motz cheese stick, strings it on a plate, adds a dab of low salt sauce and microwaves it. She said it is awsome! She can barely finsih a whole cheese stick. Hope that helps!

Good Luck!

i know all surgeons are different but my surgeon had me on liquids for three straight weeks .... not for  a punishment but we have a  brand new stomach and those staples or sutures can break so basically it was a healing period... when those cravings arrive just say to your self that this isnt forever its not a punishment and once your all healed you can have anything you want!!!! when i was early out i used to just eat the tops of the pizza ..........just the cheese and the sauce.... you really dont want to put anything solid into your pouch for a while to make sure your fully healed its very delicate like a baby...eventually you will be able to eat whatever you may be able to tolerate ......use this period known as the honeymoon period to drop as much as possible.... you can do it!!! if i can anyone can ,,,,,,,just keep saying this isnt forever and you will be fine!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck and much success for your brand new surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Stacy
