So Wednesday is the BIG day! I have my 1st consultation for WLS with Dr. Kini. I am excited and happy to report that my fiancee is starting to be more open minded about the whole WLS thing. What can I expect on Wednesday? Also I just got promoted at work and was wondering how soon were you able to return to work after surgery? A little about my job...it's not anything strenuous...I pretty much sit and talk. Do you think 3 hours straight of talking will be a problem for me? I am on the radio as a talk show host and don't want to sound weird or anything. Thanks for all your help!

Hello there I am also a pt of Dr. Kini, he is awesome!!  For my 1st consult 1st he expalined the possible procedures to a few people in a group.  Then he examined each of us, then we spoke one on one.  He is soooooo nice, I knew right away that he was the surgeon for me! Shara

I have Oxford Freedom Select. Luckily Once I have a BMI over 40 ( mine is 43), and medically necessary,  no other requirement is needed.  No 6mnth documented diet history.  So I was told apporval is ver easy with Oxford.  SHARA

I believe it's the same for mine. I will just need to go through all the testing and letter from pcp. Is it easy to find Dr. Kini's office...?

Hello, I wish you all the best at your consult! Remember to ask questions and I am glad to hear that your fiancee is coming around, sometimes it is just time because until you really know about the surgery it is scary. Not everyone understand at first!  I took 3 weeks off work and I have a desk job, went back the 4th week and did 1/2 days! Keep us posted!
