Hi all New Yorkers, I live in the Central NY area and will be having my surgery performed by Dr. Paul Cunningham.  I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about him or has had him as their surgeon.  He is at the Bariatric Center in Syracuse. Thanks so much for any info. BIG HUGS, Donna

Hiya Donna!

When I went for my consult I had him.  He only does RNYs not lapbands, so didn't do my surgery, but I loved him the day I met him!  I hear he is one of the best in the biz!!!  Not to mention, very handsome!  LOL  I had Dr. Simon for my lapband 4 weeks ago!

Good Luckers! ps- Marcie, Mimi, Donna, Mary, Christine, Ron, Robert and Sue are awesome staff there!!!  I love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and congrats... Dr. Simon did my rny 3 weeks ago and was great and love the practice. The one thing I will warn you about is that Cunningham only does open surgery. Mine was lapriscopic and some people don't care which they have but I just wanted you to know that with him it won't be laproscopic...BUT people love him so  you are in good hands!!!

thank you so much for the response. i knew that i would be having it done open since i have already had gallbladder surgery and when they went to do it lapriscopically they couldnt and had to take my gallbladder out the old fashioned way.   thanks again, donna
