Central NYers!

Hi everyone.  I love how the groups from other areas have get togethers and their own little support groups.  I would love to see that in the CNY area.  I am in Liverpool and would be willing to set things up so we can all meet and support eachother in person.  We have so many places in this area that perforn WLS it would be nice to meet peope from other surgeons.  I had mine in Auburn with Dr. Weiss who is amazing and we have a great support group but that is a 45 minute drive each way so I'd like to compliment that with one in CNY!  Feel free to contact me if you would liek to be included. Count me in Lisa!  I'm in Hamilton, probably about an hour from Liverpool!  I had my surgery at University Hospital ~ Howard Simon was my surgeon.

Hey Lisa, I live in Syracuse and am only 15 mins from Liverpool. I am pre-op but would love to join a support group.  Dr. Cunningham will be doing my surgery.  I know there is one at the Bariatric Center in Syracuse but it is on the second Monday of each month. If I cant make that one, i miss out for the whole month. Count me in! donna

I'm about  a hour and 15 mins from Syracuse, so I sure wouldn't be a regular, but I'd come up just to say Hi There and meet all you wonderful folks! And I'd bring a few others with me (momsgrouchy, Chelle, greenTshirt and maybe artlady?) I'll drive girls, just name the place to meet up!

I help run a group that meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in Liverpool! We'll be there the 14th and 28th of June! Its at the Family Chiropractic North 7550 Oswego Rd (RT 57). Its near the newly remodeled Wegmans, and right next door to the Friendly's resturant at the light.

We have 10-20 people usually, pre and post op. Two of  us are having our TT's this month as well.

I used to go to a group that met the first Tuesday of each month at Hazard Branch Library on Genesee Street in Syracuse. As far as i know, they are still active. Jo

Thank you to those of you that responded I am going to attend the one in Liverpool and would love to get everyone together for some fun outtings as well.   Lisa

I went to the one at the Hazard Library on West Genesee Street last night (Tues)...they meet the first Tues of the month.  Except in July and Aug, the library is closed...I think they were doing it on the first Thurs those months.
