Surgery June 12. Anyone else near that time.

        Hi all New Yorkers!  I am having my surgery June 12, next Tuesday.  Anyone else out there having their surgery near that date or even that month that wants to be friends and encourage each other along?       This is a very good site always loaded with info and advice....  I'm in the Buffalo area.  Lori L

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! I too am from Buffalo (South) but I am still waiting for approval. I should find out tomorrow! If approved, my surgery will be in July.
I wish you a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery! What type of WLS are you having?

      I am having RNY.  I can't wait.  I am getting very excited.  I want to be a loser and be able to do all the things that now is not possible.  Dr. Forbes is my MD and I check in to Buffalo General Hosp.  Next week at 7:30am.  Surgery is at 9:30.  Hoping to go home in a day or two.  I'll be walking that night.         Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers.  Have you started your vitamins or protein shakes yet?  My preop labs came back and I am over the top in them all.....  Yea!!!!!  Lori L

Hi Lori,
My Dr. is Caruana w/Synergy in Williamsville. I don't believe they make you start the vitamins and the shakes until after surgery.
