How long was your belly swollen for after surgery?

Assuming that you are healed enough to wear jeans, how long have you guys had to wait before putting on a pair of jeans after surgery? Mind you, I'm not talking about how long to put on a smaller size of jeans.... I mean if you had jeans that you wore a lot pre-surgery, how long do you think before I should attempt to put them on? I feel like such a bum in sweats all the time!

Hey!  I was just mentioning last night that it seems like I'm still a bit bloated!  I've lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks (today), 34 since February.  Just a weird look to my body!  My clothes are falling off, so I have plumber crack, but my tummie looks bloated, still!!!

it took my tummy like 2 weeks to De-Bloat LOL. I recall my one week followup appointment.....and not being able to wear the jeans I wore the day of my surgery! I looked pregnant. And my boobs were big too (ohhhh I miss those Girls LOL)! Hugs, Karen

UPDATE: This afternoon I tried to put on a pair of jean shorts from pre-surgery..... and I was able to! Thank God! I am not a "wear sweats in public" sort-of girl (unless I am working out); so I am very pleased. Now I just have to be patient as I slowly shrink. :)

I think this is an individual thing we all heal differently as u r able. May be 1 wk my be 3 months....many come home swollen and heavier by 10-20# so may take a while I gue see how u feel. After my Lower body lift it was many months but after RNY I forget I think 4-6 wk, I tried wearing pantyhose once and aout killed me in 2 hrs at 3 wk so be gentle w/ self.
