Lori, First off take a deep breath!  This is so very normal and it will happen throughout the whole journey! Your body takes time to catch up on your weight loss, I know for me I would lose weight and then lose inches. It was so frustrating until I learned that is how out bodies work! Just keep doing what you are doing and it should work fine! Are you measuring? You will notice changes in your inches at that time.  Also for me I was going through some depression from the loss of food! It was my LOVE and I felt like I just lost it all. Give yourself time and start to listen to your body, learn how to deal with things in a positive way and you will do great! I wish you all the best hun

HI DEBRA, THANK YOU SO MUCH . IT HELPS TO HEAR WHEN OTHER PEOPLE HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SAME THING. I AM AFRAID TO GO TO THE DOCS THIS THURS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I HAVE NOT LOST ENOUGH ACCORDING TO HIS SCALE I ONLY LOST  34 LBS IN 7 WEEKS BUT IN REALITY I LOST 42 (GAINED A LITTLE AFTER LAST APPT BEFORE PREOP TESTING LOL) I HOPE HE DOESNT SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE I WILL HAVE A BREAKDOWN. WELL I WILL KEEP ON PUSHING FORWARD AND HOPE TO SEE SOME RESULTS SOON. OH AND I AM MEASURING  I HAVE LOST 15 INCHES SO FAR BUT I ONLY MEASURE ONCE A MONTH SO I WILL DO IT AGAIN IN  AWEEK OR SO HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WILL SHOW.  HUGS  LORI

Lori, Lori, Lori .... My friend CALM DOWN!!!!   Hello - you have lost 42 pounds in 7 weeks  - that is and average of 6 pounds per week!!! When have you lost 42 pounds in 7 weeks before and 15 inches in 1 month??????? THIS WILL WORK - your body is just adjusting to CHANGE!  KEEP following the rules and your scale will move again.  Look at my weight loss history ... I had a few weeks where I lost zippo! It is certainly frustraing:mad: but you will get over this hump. remain focused and look ahead to being realesaed to exercise and go for it!  We all wish our scales would move faster ... but the point is if you stick to the rules they will move! hugs, Britt

Nothing - tastes as good as it feels -to be at my ideal weight :)

Hey Lori, Remember: You got off to a really rocky start and I am sure that threw everything off. Plateaus suck but they are part of this journey. You lost so much so fast initially that your body is probably still in shock. It will work! Dr. Garber knows what he is doing in there and I'm confident your stall is just temporary. Put your scale in Britt's street. I'll drive over there and run it over the way I'm going to run over her scale...back and forth, crushing it to bits! HUGSSSSS...hang in there! -Karen

It sounds like you are doing great, in my opinion.  NO carbs?  That's pretty good.  I have carbs and I am still losing weight.  Give it time... Being upset will not help you (trust me -  I am so upset all the time and it only sets me back).

Hi Lori Don't fret. It happens. One thing I found is to not have a scale at home. The scale will make you nuts. I have not had one at home in 2 years. i weight myself when I go to support group only. the plateau's will happen. Your body has to catch up with what's happening with it. it will pick up again. i I had not lost one pound from week 5-10 post-op then all of a sudden I dropped 25 pounds in 3 weeks. Just take one day at a time.
