dr. yatco

hi all, this is my first post.  i have spent countless hours reading on this site. years considering the surgery.  i'm sure i will be posting many questions.  i wonder if i could get some feedback from dr. yatco's patients or info on patients that you know who used dr. yatco.....success on reaching goal/complications, etc. thanks, liz

Hi LIZ!!!   Welcome to OH!  I am glad you have been reading and researching! I did the same thing for THREE years and am doing so great right now!  One month out of my surgery!  I cannot help with the Dr you are asking about but maybe someone can!

Hey Liz happy to see your posting, your going to love this site!!! I researched and researched until my eyes hurt, lol. There is sooooo much to learn even after wls, it's one big learning process. I read Before & After you can get it on bariatriceating.com it was very helpful so was Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies you may laugh but it was super informative. Hi Liz Dr. Yatco is a wonderful surgeon. He is part of our surgeons practice and he is one of the 3 surgeon. The Obesity Surgery Associates is a caring practice that handles you throughout your process and beyond. They keep up with you for yearspost-op as long as you stay with them. All 3 doctors have guideline that we follow. Dr. Yatco is very nice as is all three of them are. Have you gone to support group there yet. Email me back Marie [email protected]

I didn't use Yatco but i did use that group and have spoken with and dealt with Dr. Yatco and found him to be competent, compassionate and excellent about answering any and all questions, can't really ask for more t hen that. ANDI

Hey there Liz, I just had my RNY lap on 5-8-07 with Dr. Yatco and Dr. Cerabona assisting. They were both very compassionate and caring regularly checked in to see how I was doing and seemed to genuinely care when I asked questions. I would highly recommend him and 2 of my co-workers also had Dr. Yatco as their surgeon and raved about him as well. Good luck with your decision.
