chele: Hi! I wonder if you body is craving due to a deficiency, usually our bodes do tell us what we need. (For instance iron deficient individual sometimes chew ice or dirt!0 I googled nutrients in broccoli, came to this site:  just type in amount, there is a lot of potassium, Vit A, Vit K, Folate and some calcium. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/cgi-bin/measure.pl?MSR E_NO=11090xyzxyzBroccoli%2C%20rawxyz USDA National Agricultural Library : Nutrients of Broccoli, raw It also makes me think is there an emotional piece tied to it???, the need to chew which can supress things like anger, frustration, fear...Just a thought! Yes good thing eating it often isn't a calorie issue! Ok well BA is not a place you would EVER find me   I can not stand the stuff, but I do eat it because I know it is good for you.  I have to agree with Jamie, sometimes there is a under lying truth to what your body is telling you but make sure you get your labs and enjoy your new craving.   Like they said, good thing it is something good for you.... Now myself I could think of so any OTHER things to become addicted to. Thanks for sharing hun

I'm right there with you on the broccoli but i need mine roasted in the oven until they are almost crunchy, sometimes i'll melt mozzarella cheese on it for protein, other times i sprinkle on some paremesan cheese (see the pattern toward cheese for me?) . I go through weekly/monthly cravings then they disappear, sometimes they reappear but then other times they just leave ( i needed watermelon last summer, nothing yet on the melons, i needed beef jerky, lost that and it's coming back) Good Luck, ANDI

Hey, i started on the same kick with strawberries right after surgery and I STILL EAT THEM ALL THE TIME...it never went away.  I get so bad that I even buy strawberry lotions, body washes and sprays lol...I eat them with everything.  Much rather it be strawberries or broccoli then cheesedoodles!!!
