That doesn't really make sense to me (hi, I'm new on the boards, just happened to run across your post). 744 seems like a heck of a lot of calories. Here's a suggestion to cut down on some of that though-substitute ground turkey for ground beef. It tastes almost exactly the same. I have completely cut red meat out of my life and live happily on ground turkey, lol. Its not for everyone, but it cuts down on fat and cals.

Anita, I think someone messed up the nutritional info. I went to the cupboard and found that a cup kidney beans has 220 so a 15oz can would have around 400, give or take a bit. A pound of regular ground beef, cooked and rinsed, has about 620 calories, tomatoes are approx. 180 in a 15 oz can and the rest of the ingredients add negligible calories. The entire recipe should contain approx 1200 calories. If you ate 1/4 of that recipe, you should be getting approx 300 calories. The majority of the fiber comes from the kidney beans with 6 grams in your serving nd about 2 grams of fiber from your tomato sauce. Your label states 26 grams of dietary fiber per serving...something is definitely amiss! Sad when you can't trust the labels we've come to rely on, eh? Hope this helps! Enjoy your chili and send me some! My fam doesn't care for it, so I only get chili when I go to Wendy's and I don't do that often anymore! Laurie
