Ellis Hospital, anyone?

Has anyone had the lapband done at Ellis? I am very intersted in finding a buddy to talk to!

Sorry, mine was just done at University Hospital in Syracuse. I would call the local surgeon's office who performs them and ask if there's a support group. They could probably help ya out!

I 'm not doing the lap- band at Ellls but I am having RNY w/ Dr. Clarke in June at Ellis. Who is doing your Surgery? Dr Clarke or Dr. Ingram? I Love Dr. Clarke!! HE is So Nice!!

Not sure yet...haven't met with the surgeon yet. I just attended the info meeting this past week. I'm curious - how long did it take for you to get an appt. after the info meeting? Thank you all!

Sorry I havee not gotten back to you... long weekend... anyway, it takes 1 month on an average once you have been to a support group to get in to see them. Also, the office is not located at the hospital the baritric center is located down Rosa Road on the corner of Rosa & Fulton Upstairs. After the 1st appointment it will take yet again another 4-6 weeks to get the packet with all your appointments and a tentative surgery date once you have lost the required weight they want you to lose before surgery. (or at least that has been for most of us RNY'ers at the center). I weigh in once awee****il my Surgery date on the 11th. Wishing you Luck on your Journey!!
