Problem with my side

I had the LapBand surgery 11 1/2 months ago. I lost 77.5 pounds. The last few weeks, I have been having pain on my left side, right by my ribs, above my port. I cannot go to my doctor for 3 more weeks(problem with insurance). Anyone have something like this? Or know anything about this? I would appreciate any info.

Is your doc willing to at least speak with you over the phone? I realize they won't diagnose over the phone, but maybe it's something he can put a quick end to your concerns this way...best of luck, sweetie

He said he cant help me without me coming in and pinpointing the issue.

I am not a doctor but it sounds to me like gas pains. Have you beeb drinking pop or somthing bubbly. I hope it is nothing serios. but if continue to have pain. Insurance or not please don't wait and go to see dr. hope you are feeling beter. Sheila

I recommend going to the hospital if the pain is that bad, with or without insurance they can not deny you medical care. Go to the hospital your surgeon is affiliated with. ANDI

I would go...I know the bills adding up is a PITB but your health is more important.
