The Wheels are Falling off
So you fell off the wagon, what stops you from jumping back on? Perhaps therapy should be an option for you, find out why you feel the need to take out your problems on yourself with food. Do you still go to the gym? Can you pack your meals for work and take your fluids with you? When you give yourself carte blanche to eat by saying "I am a stress eater" you don't gain a backbone you just gain more fat. How about saying to yourself "i'm worth more to myself then a candy bar and i won't give in to my craving" if that doesn't work what about eating lower fat choices. You have the power to be a success or a failure and the choice is yours. ANDI

Hi,
Hang in there, let some time pass and you will be fine!!
Be well.
Hi Kenny,
I was going to say the same things as Debra and Karen. No matter which surgery we chose, we did not have labotomies. I also had lapband and have not (yet) reached goal. I am not giving up on this journey. I know my weight loss plateau is not the fault of my band or my surgeon...its all my responsibility. Friends and family are suggesting I get another adjustment. But I dont feel I really need one. I am just making some bad food choices and it doesnt matter if I am hungry or not.
So hang in there! I am also thinking of going back to square one as someone else suggested to you and try to cut down on carbs and liquid calories which we know slip very easily through the band.
Glad you posted this...it makes me think about what I am doing wrong also....I need a swift kick in the butt to get me on the right track again as well.
Good luck!
Dee
