I recently met 2 lap banders that are at goal they've both lost 180lbs each...if you see them, you wouldn't believe they ever had a weight problem to begin with. Hi Kenny, Sorry to hear about the weight issue and your marriage. This might sound odd but the marriage issue is one (and I speak from experience) that feels overwhelming but does have an end. The food, on the other hand, is a never-ending, lifetime-lasting problem. And, it is a progressive disease, meaning it gets worse as the years tick by. It's like a festering addiction, and WLS only "fixes" the tummy part (and not even fully at that). It does ZERO to our brains. The addiction of food is there, raring it's ugly head, forever. Best of luck in both areas. I hope the doctor can offer some advice but I have to agree with Deb: no surgery option fixes the problem of food addiction. Hugs, -Karen
