The Wheels are Falling off

Hi all, it's been quite some time since I have come to OH and I think the time has come for some good old fashioned OH support. As some may remember I am a bandster, and I had my surgery on Janyary 25, 2006. I dropped 60 lbs but never reached my goal. Today I am here to report that I have gained 10 lbs. At this point I am in trouble and I have an appointment with my Doc next week. I almost wish I went with the bypass as I would have been at goal by now. However I have learned many things about myself on this journey. I have found the strength to do something for myself that I never thought I could. After 26 years in a difficult marriage I am ending it! Somehow I will get through this and one day on the other side I am hopeful that there is a sweet and loving woman for Kenny. There is no mystry to my weight gain, I am back to eatting candy bars, McDonals shakes and a variety of junk food. Yes I am a stress eater and I am doing my best not to gain any more! I'm hanging in there and thanks to any one that took the time to read this! Kenny

This is certainly a hard journey - It's good that you are meeting with your Doc to talk about your concerns. Kenny, Hello stranger! ~hugs~ I am sorry about the divorce! Doing what you know you should be doing sometimes is the hardest thing. Know that your OH family is always here for you. I do have to make a statement and please do not take this in any way but meaningful. wheather you have the band or the RNY we need to work on WHY we eat or else we can gain back all the weight we lost and end up right back where we started! That is such a true and proven fact, just because you had one surgery over the other does not mean that you did not reach your goals because of it. You know why and you have stated so, so now it is time to move forward and that is just awesome that you are seeing the Dr about this! Hiya Kenny, Sorry to hear that your marriage will be ending. Having been there, I remember how stressful that can be. I'm one of the new losers here on OH, so have the memory not too far in the back of my mind about stress eating. I was that person for sure. I'm glad ya came back. I have found this place to be more supportive to me and hopeful for me than the 3D life I live off this computer. (excluding my son ). Keep the doc appointment and remember you're the one most important in your life, always! Muah
