Well, the test wasn't so bad, just a lot of gunk to wash out of my hair. I could actually turn over and sleep on my stomach.
Before I went to sleep, I asked the tech if he could tell me the results in the a.m. & he said no. I told him how anxious I was, etc, etc. In the morning, I said so..... and he said, "I'm sure you'll feel better after your surgery." So my eyes lit up and he just smiled. Then, they handed my a paper entitled "Survey for Sleep Anpea Patients." Well, how dumb is that? It asked if I'd be willing to be fitted for the sleep machine, etc. So I got my answer.
I am going to try to be calmer about this whole thing. Had an echo today & a stress test (cardiologist wanted stress; pcp wanted echo; couldn't hurt, right?) Wednesday is the endoscopy, then I'm done w/tests.
Thank you all for your hugs and good wishes.
I first posted this under my "I'm becomming Obsessed" and couldn't figure out how to delete...so if you read it twice, sorry!

Hi,karen
If you would have had a bad case of apnea they would have woken you up and put you on the cpap machine. but if you just had a slight case of apnea they don't wake you up and and put machine on you. In my case after I got my results about 10 days later it said slight case of apnea but did not requre cpap machine at this time unless patient has any more problems such as lack of sleep ,tiredness throught the day. i know it sounds funny to be happy that we have a problem but we know it will help with getting insurance approval. The egd is not bat at all just make sure you don't make plans to go any where or do anything after procedure, because you will be very tired from the medicine they put in you iv. At least that was how it was for me.

Karen,
Wow you are almost all done with your pre-testing..
I know that feels so awesome when you get these tests done and you move forward!
Congrats on moving ONE more step closer!

My last test was today; endoscopy. My poor old unfilled band looks just fine & so does everything else. I think I'll take my band home after Dr. Garber removes it!
Interesting: The doc did say he saw some bile, which indicates reflux. No big deal, he said. I was on Nexium for years for that & bye bye reflux. Now, my insurance doesn't cover Nexium & I'm on Previcid. I know there are other PPI's to try, but I do miss my Nexium. I think I'll check out how expensive it is to buy it from Canada.
Now I'll cross my fingers & toes & hope for approval.
