Pre-Ops Tomorrow!

I go to Syracuse for my pre-ops tomorrow, does anyone know what they are testing for specifically? I am so paranoid that something will go wrong and my date will be postponed again (postponed the first time because my surgeon had surgery of his own). Guess I just have the jitters!

I'm sure they are just making sure all your levels are ok before the surgery. I will keep you in my prayers that everything will go well for you.

They're going to check your heart (EKG), lungs (chest x-ray) and your blood levels to make sure that everything is ok enough to go ahead with surgery. They will also do a physical. In my case, they thought I had a hard spot in my calf that they were concerned about so they scheduled an ultra sound on my legs. Even though I told them that I live in a 3rd floor walk up, they still checked them and thankfully there were no blockages. Good luck with your pre-ops. Sue

Well for me it was very simple and pain free. I had a blood panel, urine sample, ekg, and a chest xray. You'll be just fine. I will keep my fingers crossed that everything comes back normal!!! Nicole
