Hi, I'm 5 weeks out and am looking for a support group in or near Santa Fe, NM. I work in the medical field and know there are a lot of us post WLS here in Santa Fe. If there isn't a support group I would be interested in starting one, but can't seem to find the support groups on this site. Denise DeLeon

Nope, no surgeons in the state of NM. I went to Lubbock, close enough to Santa Fe (5 hours driving). Dr. Syn. He is great.

Great, Thanks!! I did hear back from her and she does NOT take Lovelacee. :o( She does have a workshop that she offers and it's close to $500 if you're paying out of pocket. I guess i'm going to start saving. I still have my 6-month weight loss program to do also.

Your story is one I am very interestsed in. I have a grandson who weighs 500 lbs. He is only 14 and I'v had him to many doctors. He is asthmatic which compounds his weight problem. It is very difficult for him to exercize. I have to help him get dressed and put his shoes on. I am considering lap band surgery, but I am afraid he will not follow the strict diet. What was it like for you?

Hello! I just found out today that the psychologist who does the testing for Del Sol is now doing appointments on Tuesdays instead of Fridays and I just can't afford to stay in a hotel that long since we're driving from ABQ. I've heard Brenda Wolfe is really good but I don't think she accepts Lovelace. Has anyone ever been to see her? Do you know if she takes Lovelace? IF not, how much does she charge for the evaluation? I would greatly appreciate any information you may be able to give me! I sent her an e-mail too but too much information is better than none at all.

Hi Everyone!! I just wanted to let everyone know that I found out today that Lori is no longer with Del Sol! I had been trying to get a response from her about my consult appointment in June but she just wouldn't response. Fortunately, Amber, one our WLS friends gave me Becky's e-mail and that's who I ultimately got the information from. I'm not sure who all is running the show but Becky was awesome at getting back to me quickly....I was beginning to panic! You're all awesome! Michelle
