Hi Pam , my name is Tony. I noticed you're having your DS with Dr. K. I'm coming up on being two years out with my DS ( June 14th, I think ). Anyway, there is a great support group in Albq that meets the first and third Wed. of everey month.
I live in Albq but work in Santa Fe. If you ever have any questions, concerns etc about your upcoming DS feel free to drop me a line.

Hi Denise... Hi Amber... I too am new here. I'm tentatively scheduled for DS in July.
I don't know of any support group in Santa Fe, but would be willing to help out in starting one. I know of at least one other person who is interested as well.
I'm willing to offer up my office as a meeting place if we do it after 5pm and if we have less than 6 people. If we get more than 6, I have some other ideas of places to meet.

Hi Denise! Im Amber. Im hoping to be approved within the next month or so. My dad should be approved within the next week or two and my mom just had her Lap Rny last wee****il now I didnt know there were anyone else that had the surgery either. Where did you have yours at? We are all going to Del Sol. I hope you are recovering well and everything is great!

Thank you for this information. I have will be going to CA for my VGS in July. I think a surgeon would do very well in NM.

Hi!
I'm glad I FINALLY got hold of someone at Del Sol. I've heard a lot of good things about them and didn't want to give up! I'm not sure why Lori is gone but I didn't really ask. Maybe i'll find out something when I go down there June 13th.
How is everything on your end? How is your mom doing? She had her surgery, right?

I used Dr. Eldo Frezza in Lubbock. I think he is only doing the VGS now. I have heard rumors that Lovelace is bringing in a Dr. from Montana this summer. You could call Lovelace and see if it is true?

Things are great here! I am on day four of my two week pre-op diet and things are clicking right along. So far I have not mamed, murdered or maligned anyone (that I can recall!)! My surgery is scheduled for 05-29-08 at Northern Arizona Health Facility in Flagstaff. I am SOOOO ready! Hope everyone is doing great!

I also used Dr.Syn in Lubbock Tx...he has a great staff thats ALL very friendly...a Nutritionist on staff thats available to u all the time, u can even email her. He has website www.advancedbariatricsurgery.com this is great to chat with others that have gone through this. I have had no complications and very little pain, with a small incision... I was released to go home in less than 24hrs. He uses a pain pump in the incision site called an "ON-Q"...Just my 2cents!!
