I am so glad to be home. My surgery was the day after Christmas '07 in Houston, TX with Dr. Garth Davis. My surgery went fine, but I had to stay in Houston for two weeks as I was an out of towner and they wanted me nearby in case of complications. I'm 30 pounds lighter and it hasn't been quite a month yet. I will be looking for support from you other post-ops, as I don't really understand the food limits yet. The nutritionist I saw was vague, but did give a limited handout. I'm on a soft diet phase right now for 4 weeks. I can't believe how much trouble I'm having getting in all the water required. I used to "guzzle" water and now I have to be conscience about sipping. Had a pulled muscle in my stomach area and it's been painful for a few weeks. Am trying to walk, using the treadmill as it's so stinking cold here in ABQ, hate to go out. Any suggestions or tips for getting my post-op protein, are gladly appreciated.
