Hello-- I live in Hastings, Ne and I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota. I was approved rather quickly. However, if you need a Ne company, I am not sure. I would start calling some agents and specifically request policies  that cover WLS. I at one time saw Dr. Anthone. At that time BCBS of Nebraska did not cover WLS so I went no further. Also Dr. Anthone prefers  the DS doesn't he ??  Best of luck to you, Blessings to you also, Chris C

Topic: Good insurance
My son-in-law and daughter are both looking into wls.  Their insurance that they have now has denied them due to an exclusion.  They are now going to be self employed and will have a choice of what insurance to purchace.  Has anyone had good luck with an insurance company in NE?  They prefer the DS or an RNY.  Any help would be appreciated.  thanks, Linda

Hello--welcome to the boards. I can tell you are frustrated with the Doctors and I I don't quite understand yoru post, but if your oxygen is only at 56%. then it probably would be unsafe to have surgery until that is better. Do you have lung problems or smoke?? I guess your surgeon will need to assess your health to see what is best for you. I wish you wll hope everything turns out the way it is supposed to. Blessings to you, Chris C

I am so sorry. What ever you do, do not give up hope. ...I have waited 7 years for an insurance company to cover this. It can happen for you to.  Blessings and prayers to you, Chris C

Hi Linda, welcome to the group. Congratulations on your decision  to have surgery. The nice part about laparascopic surgery is that it's a little easier to recover from. Everyone recovers differently. Good luck in your journey. Mona

I get a lot of stuff at garage sales and have run into this kind of problem. Have you Googled the name?  Someitmes you have to keep trying different combos of the name and keep looking.  Then call or email a request. Some companies have the manual online.  Others have just snail mailed me the manual.  Sears is good about this with all their Kenmore stuff, even a circa 1980 sewing machine !   Good luck !  Amie
