Had a lot of fun yesterday and the cheering was awesome. Didn't know most of the people, but had fun enjoying myself. Today will be the challenge with the half marathon, but we can do it. Hopefully there will be some people cheering us on, especially on the back half. See you in a few!!!

Topic: RE: First Summer after WLS
During my first summer, I enjoyed being outdoors. I didn't like the heat, but it was a fairly cool summer last year, so it was ideal for me. I enjoyed traveling. Went on a 1 1/2 week trip to Seattle/Portland and had a blast.  Will see if the heat bothers me this summer. Don't think it will be as bad as before. Take care.

For those not entered in the Marathon, get out there and cheer us on! Some where along the 5K route or the half route on Saturday. That way you will be sure to see one/several of us.
Your support is needed!!

I had many things that I enjoyed. Being able to walk long distances, ride a bike far and walking on stilts!

I look forward to yet more firsts this summer and the years to come. This year will be my first half marathon. Had done 5k before, but never the half.

I hope people enojy a life filled with many "first"

Best of luck to those participating in the Fargo Marathon. No matter how you do, you are all winners!

I will see some of you there. I will be doing the 5 K tonight (Friday) and the half marathon tomorrow (Saturday). Sunday I will be a mush puddle at home resting up!

Take care,

What did you enjoy the most about your first summer after WLS?  Mine is coming up.  I am looking forward to hiking and biking in Northern Minnesota.

Here is a website that you can use to determine how far you are walking outside.  It is the same software, that was used to map our route to practice for the 5K.

I just started walking at lunch again, and mapped out my route.  It was 2 miles.

Enjoy
