DENIED
I found out today that I was denied by my insurance company for tummy tuck/hernia repair. The reason was I don't meet their criteria yet. They said I need to be 18 months and stable weight. The doctors office is filing an appeal. Not what I wanted to hear since the hernia is really bothering me as of late. Crossing my fingers.. On an up note I got my hair done today. Went with lots of highlights and cut. I am not so sure of it yet.Guess it will have to grow on me.

Thanks Shelli. Yeah it was quick denial too. They just the letter in Monday and they got a fax today at the doctor's office. She said she was going to try to explain to them that they want to take care of the hernia at the same time since it is giving me problems. I guess we shall see. maybe this is pay back for my RNY being approved instantly with no questions asked.

Ok, even though you were denied -THIS TIME, at least it is a covered procedure in the future. (mine is not-zip, nada, even if medically necessary.) Hopefully, and quite possibly, your surgeon will resubmit with medical necessity and it will be approved. You've seen things in here happen like that! Hang in there...there's always a reason.
About your hair.........I like it better!! It looks so much "softer"....I've been wanting mine done too but haven't gotten there yet. Who did you go to? It does take time to get used to.....last color I hated it immediatly and came home and washed my hair twice, and did that every day for 3 days untill it finally lightened up. It was so dark I looked like I was oriental- if you get the picture. I won't tell her I wanted to go "darker" again! LOL........see you in Dec??
