Got ants in yer pants, do ya?

I popped the top on that surgical body wash yesterday to take a sniff and it didn't smell...horrible.  lol  It took everything I had in me not to see if there was a label with the chemical properties in it so I could research how toxic they are.  I just said, "Shauna, don't!  Close the lid, toss it in the bag, and don't think about it!"  So I did.  lol  I am probably going to need some major therapy one of these days.  ;)

I got your email so please don't worry about anything other than getting that headache to go away.  Do you remember on the day to meet my surgeon, I had the migraine from hell?  I would have been just bouncing off the walls with excitement that entire day if it weren't for that!  So I understand...no ecstatic on the outside...and headache, GO AWAY!

 2 u l8r, g8r!  (I have a 15yo textaholic, what do you expect?!)

Shauna,

I am glad you are feeling better, that makes a big differnce. I am sorry your husband is sick. If someone had to get sick its better him than you, I know you would not want to have to put your surgery off, but understand you want him near by and not as a masked man.

I packed everything they told me I should bring from home. The only thing I used was chap stick, don't for get that, that was a lifesaver. I just used two hospital gowns like you are planning. I had to many wires and iv running to try to use anything from home plus they kept coming in and looking at my stomac.

I too was like a little kid on Christmas eve the night before my surgery. I had to shower with a specal soap and then again in the morning. I did get a few hours of sleep.

I hope you keep feeling well and your husband is better asap.

Jeff

Jeff,  Hubby and I both agree that we're glad he came down with it this week instead of me because that would have indeed delayed my surgery.  I laughed at your words "masked man!"  :)  I have my favorite chapstick ready to go and am going to bring my favorite pillows.  I'm SUCH a pillow/snuggle kinda gal...I mourn not having the perfect ones if I don't have my own with me.  I hope YOU are feeling 100% better by Christmas Eve this year so you can enjoy it to the fullest...you Christmas-type guys are such fun.  :)  And sleep?  Oh boy.  I can't ever sleep if I have anything exciting going on the following day.  Another reason I'm sooo glad my surgery is scheduled to be super early.  Thanks so much for your message...your thoughts mean a lot!

Shauna,
I'm so glad you're feeling better. I got butterflies so bad a couple days before......but then it seemed it was a dream....surreal........but was it all a dream?........It seems the last thing I remember was an anesthesiologist saying......, now Jane, click your heels together three times and say "there's no place like thin, there's no place like thin......"

I swear you all were there.....everyone of you!!

Follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road!! I will NEVER look at I-40 the same way again!
LMAO!!!

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
