That is so thoughtful of you to open your home!  I have a question...  Do you also have a hotel nearby your house so that if people wanted to continue the fun, but then head to the hotel to turn in for the night, they could?  Thanks!

I absolutely hate roller coasters, but would love to check out Carowinds and my kids want so badly for me to be able to take them someplace like that where I could finally do things with them rather than constantly standing on the sidelines watching them and being miserable because I either can't or think I can't fit into rides.  I don't think they will know what to do seeing Mom doing things that she hasn't been able to do their whole lives (we are talking with them being 17 and 13 here).

I had not checked this before and now I wish I had. I guess I just need to be more nosey about post.
I love Carowinds I take my girls every year and yes all day that we are there I am freaking out wondering if I will fit in the seats or if they will have to ask me to get off. I want to ride Top Gun if they still have it this year. I have surgery in December so hopefully come time to go I will feel great.
So definitely count me in one way or another I'll be there. Also I am in the Harnett county area so if people want to carpool up and back that is great. I can fit 6 plus me. That hotel sounds great.
I know Carowinds also does group rates so I am wondering if we would qualify for those???
And if there is anything I can do to help with this I would be more than happy to.

As best I can tell, they will still have Top Gun (altho it's a different name now that it's owned by Cedar Fairs).

Groups rates start at 15 people, here's the info straight from the site  (we won't count toward the total since we'll have our season tickets, tho) - (and yes, the age range is correct on the "child" ticket, it's all about height, and under 3 is always free):
SMALL GROUP DISCOUNTS
