Me and the tree LOL
In this household of two I take care of the inside and hubby takes care of the outside. Hubby is deployed right now leaving me with 100% responsibility for every single thing and guess what season it is? Its break your back and rake the lovely leaves that are falling all over the place off that beautiful 100 year old huge oak tree! The tree was the selling point of the house.. not my selling point but hubby loves it. I just raked up 16 bags of leaves and I have to say my entire body is aching BUT if I would of tried to do this last year two months post op I would of died from dragging all that extra weight around. I feel like I really made progress today and raked until the sun went down.
I cant stand yard work and Mr. Tree is not done shedding his leaves but what a great workout I got and knowing I did it by myself was even better! The old me wouldnt of been able to handle it, thanks for listening to my little ramble... had to tell someone who can appreciate what it feels like to do something they normally would of not even attempted
now time for a nice long hot bath

Now see, THAT is what I'm talking about! Oh how wonderful it must be to actually be able to do things like that. Talk about progress, Darcie. I'm thrilled to pieces for you!
I saw you allude to your new Spydie in another thread. I've told hubby several times, "I wonder of Darcie's gotten her new car yet?!" I'm assuming the answer is a resounding YES?!

Wow Darcie,
You must be sooo proud of yourself. Congratulations! I hope you really enjoy that bubble bath.

Darcie I have been finally getting out and attending to the yard more this year than ever. I think its great you got to get out there and clean things up some but I know you would rather have your hubby home to handle it too. My wife and I were discussing just how good we both felt over dinner tonight. Its hard to admit but the two of us were pretty darn sick just being overweight. I am by no means tiny yet but I did walk out five miles on a flat track today in less than two hours and did not break a sweat.. It was just too dang cold to hit a mountain trail this morning and since the surgery cold is not my best friend.
