"Didn't sleep at all last night ...."

" ... tossin' and turnin' ... tossin' and turnin' all night!"

OMG ... I can't believe that at this time tomorrow it will be done and over!

I'm really not worried at all about the surgery ... I'm going into this with a PMA (positive mental attitude).  I'm more worried about the dogs and my cats (haven't seen Mimi since my parents arrived on Sat - she's hiding under my bed).

I understand parents are parents and I can't trade them in, but geezzz .... my dad told me Sat night - "don't change your routine because we're here".  Ok, don't worry I won't.  And, what happens - this morning as I'm getting my dogs out (check out my website - I raise AKC championship Collies - and, I have 6, currently) to potty, my Dad announces that his dogs (4 retired show dogs) MUST be fed and go out RIGHT now ... UGH!

Last night, I'm preparing my dinner of cream of chicken/mushroom soup and my dad informs me that I've put enough water in it - ok, let's see - two cans of soup to 1 can of water - I think not!!!?!??  And, let's not forget to mention that he grills my mom a steak and then apologizes saying "I'm sorry to do this to you, but I have to feed your Mother!" .. Ok, could you not wait and do that while I'm in the hospital!?!?!?!?

And, even, now as I sit here waiting to go home, there's a broadcast email of that there's ice cream cake in the breakroom and one of our PMs tries to lay a big slab on my desk ... I was pretty snippy and told him to take it away!  Thank goodness for Crystal Light!  I wish I didn't sit right outside the breakroom!

Enough venting for now .... I'm keeping my eye on the prize ... and can't wait to bring my 8s and 10s down from the upstairs closet.

Cheers!

I was wondering how you've been sleeping!  lol

You and I are on the same wave-length with the PMA.  My hubby is such a positive thinker and drills that into me all the time...especially lately!  He swears I will have a better surgery and a better outcome.  So lil' ol' me is trying to brush off any pessimistic stuff that rises right away and embrace the glass because it IS half full, you know!

Sending you lots of patience vibes in dealing with your parents and co-workers.  With my headache finally gone, I now know it was masking the hunger pains.  I had to take the lil' man through Taco Bell for a small snack earlier because his sister was going to be late getting out of school, but not late enough to justify running back home.  Oh my gosh, the smell wafting from his lap was a killer.  I don't drink soft drinks normally but had to have a diet Pepsi to get me through that!  lol

Your prize is at hand, my dear!  ENJOY!

Yayy, Lori!  Your day is almost here!!! I'm so excited for you!
Hopefully I will be able to come by and visit you on Wednesday.  I have a doctor's appointment across town, but hopefully I'll still have time for a visit!
Good luck, and I'm thinking about ya!

Lori,
WooHoo! Good luck tomorrow!! I know everything will go great for you!
Ok, I have a question.. My surgery is two weeks from Thursday... I am also having RNY,  I have been told that the day before surgery that I would have the bowel prep doing it's thing most of the day and that I better stay home! So, I toook the day before surgery off of work. How did you work today? LOL I go for my pre op appointment this Friday so i`ll learn more about it then.. But just wondering!  :)

Oh, By the way... I may have mentioned this to you before, but I LOVE Collie's! I work a lot and don't have time to devote to a pet right now, but if I ever had another pet it would be a Collie or a Sheltie. They are so sweet!

Again, Good luck tomorrow!

Hi, Cindy ...
Am home now ... didn't have to do a bowel prep - just clear liquids all day the day before surgery - I forgot and had some cream of tomato soup, but that was no cause for concern.  Every practice is a little different - I didn't have a barium swallow before leaving the hospital yesterday, either.

Will post more about my experience in a few minutes.
