Let's play "bet you didn't know this about me"...
O.k., here's mine. Not very interesting I'm afraid, but all true none the less. . .
1. I have been homeless. Literally. Not fun at all.
2. I always get what I want. One way or another.
3. I have been married and divorced 3 times. And I am about to undertake marriage #4! Yep, Scott just asked me to marry him and I have accepted!! We are planning a small, intimate ceremony in Tennessee in April 2009!!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely thread, thank you so much for starting this,Shauna!
Generalized response "You guys are all fascinating! I want to sit down and ask each person here all kinds of questions, so watch out when we go to Carowinds!!LOL"
me . . .hmmmm
1) I have the very divergent interests: pre1600 Western Europe (was a part of a group that did medieval recreation for many years), law (got my JD at NCCU evening program), the rock group KISS (Gene Simmon is amazing!),
2) I've been blessed to be married to two wonderful men. The first is a great guy, but we weren't in love and never should have gotten married. Got married to Bryan (DH of 25 years) just over two months after my divorce was final.
3) Am a mom/sister to my dear niece. And have claimed her hubby as my son. We bought a house in Fort Mill so they could move down with their five kids, we have the in-law suite and they have the big house. And being part of all their lives is on of the top five things in my life.
4) Am an Amway Global business owner (but not an obnoxious one, I promise! LOL)

Oh this IS fun!
1. French is my first language, as I am a first-generation American of French-Canadian descent... 100% French! I also speak a smattering of a whole bunch of other languages as well! (A requisite to survival where I grew up in Massachusetts!)
2. I was a top breeder of Basset Hounds for about 30 years and my dogs were known all over the world. I bred, raised, trained and exhibited about 35 champions (almost all bassets but a few other breeds as well) in the course of that part of my life.
3. I was a professional student forEVER!!! Went to grad school straight out of college and they kept funding me, so I kept at it. Wound up with 2 Master's degrees and the coursework on a Ph.D om Romance Philology. Gave it up when I was ABD and decided to marry a Ph.D. instead. Don't regret giving up the degree but I do regret the marriage... LOL!
