Let's play "bet you didn't know this about me"...
To get to know you better, can you think of three things to share that you bet we didn't know about you?! Fun, freaky, scary, boring...doesn't matter...let the party begin!...
(Lurkers, this is your time to come out of the woodwork and introduce yourselves! Come onnnn...you know you wanna join the party!)

Ok, I need to waste time instead of seeing what email I don't want to answer right now LOL
1. I have attended 6 births as a doula (some of y'all might just have to go look that up and learn a new word hehe), as well as my baby brothers birth as my Moms birth coach.
2. I was asked to read a book by an author and make a comment she then posted on it as I was considered an expert of sorts for the subject.
3. I am 1/4 Swedish and was born as the fist black haired, black eyes, chubby child in my family who were all born with blonde hair and blue eyes and scrawny.

Hi Saprina,
Like you, I have had the honor and pleasure of being a doula .... What a wonderful gift!

Well if Sneezy's going to post, so will I:
1. I have a master's degree in Biology, as well as an M.S. in Music.
2. I am known all over the US among flutists as a flute technician
3. I have travelled to China, Hungary, Chile, England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Germany. Next year I'll go to the Netherlands and Belgium.

(Saprina, I always wanted to be a birth doula, but I'm not using that as one of my 3! lol)
1. I am one of those people that if it weren't for my well-grounded, good head-on-his-shoulders husband, I'd probably live in the SW corner of Wyoming with an underground fall-out shelter and a year's worth of food stocked up at any given time. I'm that paranoid. lol Y2K, global warming, the current looming "Great Depression", you name it. (Kim, tornadoes! lol) I was raised in a big count-down-to-Armageddon religion, so maybe that's where this all stems from?!
2. I have always wanted to be a wife, mother and homemaker to a HUGE family. I wanted at least 6 kids, preferably 12 (or more)...my ideal was 6 biological, 6 adopted. I watch Angelina Jolie with such fascination as she builds her "rainbow family" and I also watch every episode of the Duggars, in total admiration of Michele on how she manages her family. I dream of organized pantries, rotated seasonal clothing, a 15+ passenger family bus, etc.
3. Wood hurts my teeth. (Get yer minds outta the gutter...and you know who I'm speaking to!) To touch it, or put it in my mouth, sends chills down my spine...like grating fingers down a chalkboard. I love the top part of a popsicle, though I prefer to hold the stick with the paper attached so I don't have to touch the wood part. But, when you get down to where you have to bite where the wood is! Owie! I perform every feat I can to keep a single tooth from actually touching the wood. Ewww. It just freaks me out thinking about it.
I know, I'm weird. But ya'll knew that already!

Kim,
Okay, I guess I should have said "raw wood"...the type that doesn't have any veneers over it. If the wood is finished, I'm good.
Sawing all those boards for the deck a few weeks back was murder! I kept running my tongue over my teeth the entire day (and am doing so now...eek!).
Yes, I'm the strange woman that goes through the furniture store touching everything in sight...wood, upholstery, but not glass (fingerprints, you know
)...and I'm that way in a clothing store too. I reach out and feel no matter how ugly it is. My daughter has learned not to gasp in horror when I'm shopping with her and reach out to touch something granny-looking. "Honey, I'm not reaching out to show this to you to try on, I'm just wanting to feel the fabric!"
I seriously need to get this surgery over with. My nervous energy and lack of ability to do anything but sit here and vegetate has caused me to type wayyy too much on this forum this week!
