Anyone on here with BCBS Fed

My info. was just sent in on last friday 11/14 for approval. Does anyone have an estimate time for approval. I am really looking forward to having my surgery done before the year is out. I really don't have family where I live and my daughter is away at school. She will be home on her holiday break for a couple of weeks and my mom works in the school system where she lives and the both of them will be available to help me out post-op. I expressed this to my doctor and his staff. So right now I am just waiting on approval.

I have BCBS of NC and I received approval the next day.  If all of your information was submitted, I do not think it will take long.  Once I got approved, my surgery was scheduled 3 weeks later.

I have BCBS Fed also but I had my surgery forever ago...  If you don't hear soon just give them a call.  They've been very helpful to me when I've had any questions.  Best of luck to you and we'll see you on the loosers bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Get ready for this wild ride!!!

I can't help you with your estimated time of approval (I have BCBSNC & am using a Center of Excellence), but I wanted to wish you the very best of luck on getting a 2008 surgery date.  I completely understand the needed timing...I was hoping for mine just prior to Christmas break and am thankful it worked out just prior to Thanksgiving break.  My hope is that you will hear something early this week and definitely before the week's end.  Don't be afraid to call them today to ask if they received it.  Can't wait to hear your announcement that you are approved!  Keep us posted!

I - welcome to the board.  I also have BCBS Fed and received my approval the very next day.  I did go through a center of excellence, so I'm not sure if that affected anything or not.
