Well it has been an event since June with the Miridian IUD and finally this past Tuesday after 3 hours in the doctors and a good dialation and a great half hour of digging, yes digging and he finally got the thing out.  There is alot to be said for a couple of percacepts.  Still had some pain and I am now bleeding like a stuck pig and feel like ****  I suppose part of that is this low sugar stuff also.  I have a doctors appointment for that with a specialist Monday.  I wanted to take a month off with out any hormons in my system and see if it triggers any weight loss, since I haven't lost a thing since  May but the bleeding is heavy and my doctor suggested I go ahead and start my pill again to stop it and so I won't end up pregnant!!!!   Ok yea that is the first thing on my mind I want to do....NOT!  Men.  He had cut the sting on that sucker so short he had to dialate me and literal dig for it with this hook thing and yes he got tissue.  Well at least it is out!!!  On top of it I have to go back tuesday for a upper GI and swallow test and an utra sound.  We think the old gull bladder is wanting to leave.   I have really felt like crud and I am so over this....

Ugh Lynn!  I'm cringing here, I can't imagine!  I am glad that at least you got that bugger out, I know how it had been bothering you!  Gallbladder, huh?  Boy, when it rains it pours!  Keep us posted on that!  Also, don't know if you've seen it, but there is a link below for the Onslow Christmas meet, but I'm sure it will be posted many times again. Have a great weekend!

I had a horrible experience with the Mirena.  I kept mine for a month and it had to be removed.
It was awful.  I continued to have serious problems for several months until I had permanent surgery.  Good Luck.

Your continued problems, was it related to to mirena after you had it removed.  What was the problem if you don't mind sharing.  I have been having still alot of cramping but sometimes espically this last month I have a hard time telling if it is intenstin's or female related from irriation of this thing.  The cramps most time are up high but I swear he had shoved the IUD to high up.

I am so sorry to hear you are having these issues with the Mirena IUD. For me, this device has been a life saver. I had my first one for five years then had it replaced with a new one two years ago. I had such awful menopausal symptoms and it helped me tremendously. I hope and pray there are no issues in the future. I am 50 years old and it looks like I will need this for a while.

I pray that you have a speedy recovery and that there are no residual effects.

Jane
