Headaches
I had surgery on Monday and was home by Tuesday night. Since I have been home I have only had to take pain killers 3 or 4 times with none since last night before bed. I have a high pain tolerance so there was not a lot of need for it. Anyway, since not taking the meds I have a terrible head ache. I know from being on Hydrocodone before that it is probably withdrawls from it but don't know what to do for the head aches. These are the kind that make you sick to be up, which is hindering me getting up and about. Before when I had withdrawls, i took Aleve to come down off the pain killers but I know they are out of the question now. I called the pharmacist (since the Drs. office was closed) and he suggested opening gel caps and getting the liquid out of them, but it burned my mouth when I put it in, so I decided against that real fast. When my hubby went back to the pharmacy, all the children's meds are full of sugar or very thick and syrupy. Does anyone else have a suggestion until i can get the doctors office in the morning.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Thanks!

Jennifer,
My heart goes out to you. I've been battling a pre-op diet headache that turned into a migraine today. Make sure you don't take any NSAIDS (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.) since you are post-op. Some things you might want to try are:
Tylenol PM
Head On
Strong cup of coffee
Dark room and a cool cloth
Congratulations on your surgery and I hope you're better soon! :)
