VSG Ft Bragg???

Wow, what a day! So now I am trying to get referred to Ft Bragg to have VSG. What I am trying to find out now is what Dr in Ft Bragg does VSG. I need this info in order to get everything rolling and the great thing is once the referral goes thru they can get me in for consultation with in a few weeks. Dr Harris in Wilmington couldn't get me in till mid Feb!!! Again, thank you all for the helpfull information.

Jamie, I answered you on the VSG site, so I won't repeat it all.  I did forget to mention that of the 3 docs we have, 1 is a constant (Dr. Olsen) because she is a civ. doc and the other 2 (Dr. St Jean and Dr. Hiles) are military so sometimes will have deployments, etc.  We don't choose which one of the 3 we get as we get who is available when our time comes up.  I have heard nothing but good from those who have had a wls so far with any of them.  It sounds like you coule be a majority of the way through the necessary things to do for the surgery here by the time you could get a consultation there, though!

Dr Hiles only does Gastric Bypass - I Believe Dr. Olsen would perform the VSG.

Ahh, since I went into this thinking I would have to have the lapband (didn't know they did the VSG here when I first went to them), I never asked anything about which surgeons actually do the VSG.  I hope Amy is the only one doing it right now since I like her.
