OMG part 2

Goodmorning,
Last night was very disturbing to me and I told Lee I thought we should call the PD.
Keep in mind for them to get here it would take 20-30 minutes.
Lee said the woman wanted to come in the house last night but he told her about Zenny and said he does bite.
She basically broke down and told Lee she needed money to feed her family.
Lee said we would be glad to give her some food and this is when she left.
There was a car waiting for her on the street and was honking the horn for her to come on.

Lee said what are the police going to do?
Yes they can take a report but as far as doing a saftly patrol there just arent enough deputys to cover where I live and the county.
When I walk the dogs we only walk on my street and the walk is really not for me but for the dogs.
When I am here alone I will be keeping the door closed.
I am contacting the alarm people this morning to ask them if I can turn on the alarm while in the house and if they could provide me with a remore to activate the alarm if I was outside.
I will be contacting my block manager today also to make her aware of what has happend.

Annie - what this woman is doing is illegal - report it !  They might not can make routine patrols in your area, but can include you in a loop or tow once in a while.  And tell all your neighbors.  Someone might not be as cautious as you and Lee and let this person in the house.

Remember if she were hungry she would have taken the food... she did not take it !  so what else was she after???

And, another thing - look at the car and make a note of the color, make, etc even if you can't see the license plate.

Everyone has given you perfect advice so I won't add to that, just encourage you to follow it!  I am worried to pieces about this, Annie.  Please be so careful and keep us posted!

Annie, DONT let her in your house, or Lee either, even if it's raining or it's cold, It is a LIE, she might be checking out what you and lee have that could be stolen. She obviously knows you and Lee are nice people and I don't want her to pray upon that!  Please Annie, call and make a report..........and I really like the idea of getting the plate number if you could,,,,,,,these people really need to be stopped, they don't care who they hurt. As you probably know, people will do ANYTHING for money.

Ok I did walk the babies this morning and everything is ok.
I have talked to the homeowners association and my block manager.
I have also reported to the police and the security person in our area about what happend.
My front door is closed and locked.
The cop I talked to said is she returns to call them ASAP and that they have people patroling in this area often.
Going to go work out I just need that relief.

I'm so glad you reported her.  Even if they weren't willing to do patrols right now, it would be good to have this on file for if she comes again.  Please stay safe!

Thank goodness you involved the police!  You may be helping out some other person even more vulnerable than you, Annie... like maybe an elderly person who is alone.  You did the right thing and I am greatly relieved!
