hERE WE ARE SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM EATTING DINNER AND THE DOOR BELL RINGS.
iT IS THE WOMAN omg.
Lee is talking to her.
He just came in and said he explained to her that I had gastric bypass,
Then he said she was saying she needed cash because they did not have any food.
Lee offered to give her some food out of our freezer.
He said she walked away.
I think I may have to call the PD in the morning.
I am here alot during the day alone.

Annie,

Whether she comes back or not, call the police. If she is indeed hungry and needs help, I'm sure that if they find her 'soliciting' they will be able to work with social services and help her get some help, access to a local food bank, etc. If she is just a nut, they can address that as well. If she's dangerous... Which I honestly, doubt, but still. Do not answer the door if she comes back. I'd even consider not walking the dogs outside for a couple of days until this is resolved. Use your treadmill instead.

Annie,

I'm glad Lee didn't give her any money.  When people ask me for money for food I offer to buy them a buger or something but no cash.  If they're really hungry they'll take the food.  If she comes back definately call the PD.   I'm a 911 dispatcher and I'd feel better if you just called.  Since you've already had to deal with her twice, just be safe and call... it's no big deal, they'll tell her to go away unless she gives them a problem.  You can also ask them to do some extra patrol in the area.

Anyway, keep safe girl!!!

I agree with the others, don't answer the door if she comes back when you are home. I bet she is trying to get to some of your neighbors as well. My instinct is to call the police and definitely don't let her engage you into a conversation. If you are feeling mean or rude don't worry about it. You have to take care of your safety and if she is for real she will understand and if she isn't well then she doesn't have to understand and probably won't care because she will just go to the next target. I am sorry she is freaking you out a bit.

Annie, Please just call and make the report tonight with Lee there with you. I seriously don't think she's dangerous either, but I think Barb's right,.. walk inside while Lee is gone and then wait till he gets home and Walk the dogs then.......and don't feel like you're letting Luck down, he would NOT like you to do something you don't feel comfortable doing. Also, if you're out of the house walking, no telling what's going on at the house.  Keep your eyes peeled and be safe........tis the season for scammers, sadly to say.  You're in my thoughts..... Have Lee check the windows...........I'd hate for someone to come in and steal something.
