An intresting visitor today
I did my usual work out this morning then showered and went to the store to buy stuff to make chili today .
I am in the kitchen cooking away and the door bell rings.
A woman and young girl were standing there wanting almost pleading with me to buy some items from a list of goodies they had.
When I noticed most of the items were sweets I told the woman I was sorry but cant eat sweets.
She appeared very nervous and quickly said Oh we have other foods too.
So I agreed to buy the summer sausage and cheese roll.
I asked whom do I make the check out too and how much?
She said cash only.
I laughed and said I never have cash.
The woman then asked could I go get some and I said no I was busy cooking dinner.
She left and went to another nieghbors house.
This past summer a woman came up to me looking for work and I told her my husband does the work outside well she came back a few more times.
Finally she got the message and did not come back but we noticed around this same time the pressure washer and leaf blower was missing.
You just never know sometimes about people.

Annie they more than likely had a third person involved as well. the mother and kid distract the homeowner as the third person does the evil in the rear of the house or shed. It may pay to take a mental inventory if you have out buildings as well. Its likely they may be a part of an organization called the travelers. Its based out of the eastern seaboard and they operate much in that fashion also doing shoddy repairs on homes for high cash prices. They know every hook in the book on how to get something out of you or your neighbors. I would at least be kind enough to report it to the local authorities before someone close to your house or neighborhood gets more than a few grocery items.

We do have community watch in our area but what good is that when it takes The Old Boys 20 minutes to get here.
We also have an alarm system in the house and just the sound of it I feel would be enough to scare this woman away if I pushed it.

Lee will get off early today so I am hoping he can be here when and if this woman comes again.
I have also thought about leaving this afternoon just so I wont be here if she returns but then I worry about my house and my animals.

We do have community watch in our area but what good is that when it takes The Old Boys 20 minutes to get here.

Yes Annie,,,,,,,please do call the sheriff and give him a description so they can keep their eyes peeled. Also, check what's outside or make a list and check daily, and if it does, FILE A POLICE REPORT. If they are caught or merchandise seized, you can go claim it, if you don't file, there is no proof that it's yours. Also, tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. I agree, it's such a shame that these adults are using these innocent kids . Did your neighbor buy anything? Do you have community watch in your area? Maybe you can call your local PD and inquire about it so these scumbags will think twice! I BET she will be back hoping you have cash because you appeared interested. This time was to probably scope the place out. Keep your eyes open and report anything suspicious! LOL< my OCD is kicking in big time, LOL

Matt said he was on his deck yesterday and saw them walking up the road.
Matt ran and turned his lights off so they would not come to his house LOL.
Mat and his wife only have one car and they were probally looking for houses with cars in the driveways.
The local PD is not much help out here so I dont have much if any faith in them.
Lee gets off early so if they return he will be here.
We also have a meeting scheduled at 3:30 this afternoon at the house so maybe this will be enough to detour her from the house and not to mention the bulldogs scared her.
